Jaén FC is founded by Dr. Juan Nogales.

10/29/1944
The Old La Victoria Stadium opens with the match Olímpica 2-2 Algeciras CF 

1950-1963

Ángel María Arregui played 13 seasons at Real Jaén (until 1963). He is the greatest white scorer and is considered the best player in the history of the team.

1953/1954

Real Jaén debut in 1st Division.

10/06/1957

FC Barcelona and Real Jaén CF play the first official match of the Camp Nou in front of 90,000 spectators.

06/10/1967

The 1st edition of the Olivo Trophy is played against AS Roma, Queens Park Rangers, CD Málaga and Real Jaén. Since then, 37 more editions have been played.

06/17/2001

Last game played at the Old La Victoria Stadium. Real Jaén 0-2 Real Betis, on the last match of the Season (2nd Division).

09/02/2001

The New La Victoria Stadium is inaugurated in 2nd Division (Real Jaén 3-1 Club Polideportivo Ejido)

06/21/2009

Maximum historical attendance in a match played in Jaén. 20,000 people attended La Victoria in a promotion playoff final

(Real Jaén 1-2 Villarreal B).

The club is reconstituted under the name of Sociedad Olímpica Jiennense.

09/05/1947

The Spanish Football Federation authorizes the name of Real Jaén, which replaced the previous name of the club (Olímpica Jiennense).

1952

Real Jaén get its first national title: the Federation Cup. They defeated UD Orensana 3-1 in a final played at Madrid Metropolitan Stadium.

04/10/1956

Real Jaén promote for the second and last time to the First Division, where they remain until 1958.

09/07/1958

Real Jaén and Sevilla FC play the opening match of the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium in Seville. The match ended with a draw (3-3).

06/25/2000

Real Jaén promoted to 2nd Division at O Couto stadium (Ourense) in one of the most epic promotions in the Club's history.

07/01/2001

Real Jaén complete its conversion into a Sports Public Limited Company (SAD).

04/15/2009

Real Jaén CF get their 2nd Federation Cup by defeating Rayo Vallecano "B" in Vallecas Stadium (1-4).

06/30/2013

Last promotion to Second Division.
